چکیده
Surface subsidence caused by coal mining has become an important factor that affects and restricts the sustainable development of districts. It is necessary to use appropriate methods for effective monitoring. hard monitor large gradient ground deformations with a high accuracy using differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) technology. Monitoring underground coal mining - induced subsidence
Monitoring of mine subsidence by means of classical methods such as optical levelling or Global Positioning System (GPS) surveys can reveal deformations with sub-millimetre to subcentimetre precision for localised areas. However, to provide data on a reasonably dense two-dimensional (2D) benchmark grid are costly and time-consuming for all but the smallest areas. Moreover, a regular re-survey o...
متن کاملDifferential Radar Interferometry and Its Application in Monitoring Underground Coal Mining-induced Subsidence
Ground subsidence due to underground coal mining threatens the safety of surface infrastructure such as buildings, roads, bridges, powerlines and telecommunication cables, and can cause environmental problems such as water pollution, cessation of stream flow, and so on. Monitoring the spatial distribution of surface deformation may be helpful for land-use planning, land reclamation, safety and ...
متن کاملApplication of Repeat-pass DInSAR and GIS for Underground Mine Subsidence Monitoring
This research used both ERS and JERS-1 images to investigate the feasibility of differential radar interferometry (DInSAR) for mine subsidence monitoring in the state of New South Wales, Australia. DInSAR results are analysed and validated with the aid of Geographic Information System (GIS) tools. The drawbacks of using interferometric measurements for mine subsidence monitoring are discussed. ...
متن کاملSpaceborne Radar Interferometry for Mine Subsidence Monitoring in Australia
Land surface deformation can be caused by underground mining activities. The maximum subsidence normally occurs directly above the location of the excavation of the coal seam. In the case where the longwall mining technique is applied, the magnitude and shape of the subsidence bowl are constrained by the longwall structure (pillar). This paper describes the use of satellite radar interferometry...
متن کاملMine Subsidence Monitoring Using Multi-source Satellite SAR Images
Ground subsidence due to underground mining has posed a constant threat to the safety of surface infrastructure such as motorways, railways, power lines, and telecommunications cables. Traditional monitoring techniques like using levels, total stations and GPS can only measure on a point-by-point basis and hence are costly and time-consuming. Differential interferometric synthetic aperture rada...
